This book is a storyboard from my videos « You’ll never walk alone » and « Timecode », where I imagined a soccer match and a motor bike ride with my alter ego, Bettagol, and a young man surprisingly looking like Pier Paolo Pasolini. In a parallel, as a comment or a soundtrack, images appear of the old Toto’ and the young Ninetto, the main characters from « Uccellacci e uccellini », the film where Pasolini poetically transposed the theme of the end of ideologies. The crow, the only speaking presence, seems to be interrogating the characters about the meaning of their destiny. Pasolini seen from my eyes, without nostalgia and with the intensity of a real experience, is brought back here, in my present, together with his past. Everything stands in recognizing, in believing against any reasoning. Until the circle will be broken, and we can go back. To the beginning. (E.B.)
