Daniel Gordon presents Fruits et Riche Vaisselle sur une Table 1640 - 2015, an interpretation of Jan Davidsz de Heem’s masterpiece.
Conserved by the Musée du Louvre, Jan Davidsz de Heem’s work from 1640 and its 1917 interpretation by Henri Matisse (MoMA, New York) were the visual elements used by Daniel Gordon for this new photographic venture.
Following Daniel Gordon’s original process, the artist has created in three dimensional forms (with elements downloaded from the Internet, printed and cut) his new composition, ultimately capturing a unique interpretation of Fruits et Riche Vaisselle sur une Table on film with a large format camera.
Alongside Fruits et Riche Vaisselle sur une Table, 1640 - 2015 we will also present six new photos upon wallpaper designed by the artist.
