On May 11, 2005 I met Jeff Koons at Philips de Pury auction house in New York, New York. Coincidentally earlier that day, I printed out a photo of his iconic Self-Portrait; I approached Mr. Koons and showed him the printout.

Jeff promptly wrote "Brad best of luck, Jeff 11/05/05" and I immediately wrote "Thanks Jeff, Brad Downey 11/05/05".

After a bit of discussion we went our separate ways. The whole encounter lasted about 10 minutes.
