Daniel Gordon’s deliberate use of black and white photographs and modest printing size serves as a direct homage to the artist's photographic inspiration: Man Ray, Alfred Stieglitz and André Kertész among others.

“Intermissions” is Gordon's second CAMERA ARTIST portfolio and contains a new selection of images captured during the “in-between” moments at the artist's studio where he produces his signature detailed color photographs.

The elevated poetry underlying each image in this edition served as a spring board of inspiration for the writer/artist Jibade-Khalil Huffman, whose elusive textual work has been woven into the artist book pages of this portfolio, tucked away beneath the photographs in a clamshell portfolio case.
